Carrier Hosts Data Center Event for Industry Leaders and Students at its Global Headquarters
Carrier embraced its role as a leader in providing advanced technology equipment and digital lifecycle solutions for data centers by hosting a local chapter of 7x24 Exchange International, a professional organization for designers, builders and operators of mission critical enterprise information infrastructure, at its global headquarters, the Center for Intelligent Buildings (CIB) in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, earlier this month.
The Greater Florida/Alabama Chapter of 7x24 Exchange International held its quarterly meeting at the CIB on Aug. 8, bringing more than 70 attendees, including industry professionals and local high school students. The event was hosted by Carrier’s Global Enterprise Solutions team.
7x24 Exchange International provides education to mission critical industry professionals. Founded in 1989, it now has over 250 member companies and 28 chapters.

It included a Data Center 101 presentation and a panel discussion by leaders in Women in Mission Critical Operations, focused on recruiting, supporting and promoting opportunities for women in mission critical fields.
Attendees also toured the CIB, a high-tech, modern workspace and living showcase of Carrier’s integrated, intelligent technologies. The building is the global headquarters for Carrier and was designed and constructed with a focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility. It is the first commercial building in Florida to earn both WELL and LEED Platinum designations.
